About Me‍ ‍

Welcome, I’m Nina.

I believe counselling should be a place where you feel heard, safe and understood.

People often ask me why I became a counsellor, and honestly it’s because I have always been fascinated by people - the way we think, feel and make sense of our lives.

I love hearing peoples’ stories. Not just the challenges they face, but also the strengths and hidden gems they sometimes don’t even realise they have.

I like to think of myself as a curious and compassionate companion on your journey. I’m not perfect (no counsellor is) but I bring warmth, honesty and genuine interest in you as a person, not just the parts that feel painful right now.

I am an Integrative Counsellor. This means I can tailor therapy to suit the client. This comprises of:

  • Person-Centred: The client is the expert in the room

  • Psychodynamic: How past experiences shape the present

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy: Confronting unhelpful thoughts and behaviours

I have a wide range of personal and professional experience of the struggles people face due to Autism, ADHD, anxiety, trauma and depression.

Outside of the counselling room I’m just Nina. A dog walking, book reading, lover of laughter, which helps to remind me that life isn’t only about struggles - it is also about the simple joys.

If you are wondering what counselling with me might be like, the best way I can put it is: It’s a space where you don’t have to mask. You get to show up exactly as you are. Together we gently explore what feels important to you, one step at a time.
